Thoughts to Ponder
Hello,
Welcome to my first Thoughts to Ponder blog. I love to share the thoughts that God has put on heart. I gave up my business blog (The CHANGE AGENT) years ago because it became work rather than delight. God had changed the desires of my heart…and I didn’t even ask Him to. Has that ever happened to you? He radically interrupted MY plans for HIS plans and it hasn’t been an easy path for me. I hope my blog will give you something to ponder.
It’s early spring in Ohio and the little green plants are pushing their way through the fall leaves and in to the sunshine. As I took a walk through our woods today I noticed more green than yesterday. Isn’t that much like our lives? We have winter seasons and then the sun finally comes out and new life emerges out of the ice and mud on our path. When we keep our eyes focused on the Son, our lives can prosper: “That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” Psalm 1:3
When we focus on the test we’re going through, we often get stuck in the monys (as in moaning and whining) and so delay getting a testimony. I choose to pray when my flesh wants to moan and I focus on the promises God has given us: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
I hope you’ll share your favorite verse or strategy to get out of the monys and closer to your testimony.
